MSI is preparing a high-end motherboard 890FX-GD70 with AMD 890FX chipset

The network has more details about the motherboard MSI 890FX-GD70, which is based on the new chipset AMD 890FX. This chipset combined with the chipset South Bridge SB850, is capable of supporting future six-core processor Thuban and should be part of a desktop platforms AMD Leo, whose appearance is scheduled for the second quarter of 2010.



Motherboard MSI 890FX-GD70 is designed for AMD in the performance of AM3 and presumably equipped with a 5-phase power system technology to support DrMOS. It has four slots for memory modules DDR3, at least six expansion slots PCI-Express x16 with support for CrossFireX mode ports and six SATA 6.0 Gbps, as well as an additional SATA connector.

In addition, the board has the buttons Power, Reset, and OC, connectors Gigabit Ethernet, eSATA and FireWire, as well as two USB 3.0 ports and built-in 7.1-channel audiochipom. Cost MSI 890FX-GD70 is not yet known, however, based on the specifications, the motherboard would be a very expensive solution.
